Since I was a little girl I’ve always loved art. I remember a time when I used to draw almost every single day, and every now and then I still enjoy spending time with my sketchbook. In high school it was the only subject I got A’s at. Before starting to pursue my career as a Fashion Stylist I applied for graphic designing, but I changed my mind as I kept finding myself more excited by fashion and I was always trying to incorporate fashion elements into the design layouts. In addition to fashion, jewellery has a place in my heart. This is mostly due to my dad, who is a goldsmith and jewellery designer and has a big passion for jewellery. Growing up, jewellery has had a big influence on me and I’ve really learned to appreciate timeless fine pieces that last for years, decades and perhaps a life time. I occasionally might buy a cheaper piece of jewellery to flaunt as a fashion statement at a party or so, but I really think it is worth investing in those pieces that last longer. Nowadays I am fascinated by researching different types of stones and their origins.
I’ve recently discovered a Scandinavian jewellery brand ‘Sif Jakobs’ whose jewellery I really really like! I guess the brand can be classified as an affordable fine jewellery brand. Everything is made of sterling silver, plated gold and zircons to add some sparkle. I think that the reason why I fell in love with the brand in the first place is that the brand presence takes you to this cool and modern world of Scandinavian elegance. In addition to these beauties that I am wearing (see links under the photos) a couple of my other favourites are the arrow ring (also here) and arrow bangle (also here). For my Finnish readers you can purchase them online from Diamo.fi and for others directly from their website.
I am truly grateful to be given the chance to make this collaboration post with the brand. For me, it’s really important that all the collabposts complement my style and that I don’t make the posts purely just for a sake of advertising on my blog.
This is the waistcoat I bought from Oasis’ sale and I love it! There’s still a few left if you’d like one for yourself. It literally looks good with anything – top, blouse, shirt, jeans etc. I was already obsessed with waistcoats last summer and my love for them is still going strong – see how I styled a waistcoat in my old post for evening here and for day here.
